The battery Backup Siren alarm is a economical tool for livestock systems in close proximity to the site operator. The siren and strobe can be heard and seen from distances of one mile under mild and clear conditions. An internal battery pack allows for alarming up to six hours or longer with optional external battery.
Go big and be heard.
A powerful siren and strobe is critical to an onsite alarm system. We went big here with a 120 dB horn and 60,000 candle power strobe. This unit is built for the outdoors and can be been heard and seen at distances up to one mile.
Extend the life of your battery pack.
Our battery pack consists of 10 NiMH "AA" batteries. NiMH technology is great for recharging, power storage, lifespan and replacement. The battery pack provides 2,500 mah at 12 volts. This is enough power to run the siren and strobe full time for 3 hours or in 50/50 mode for up to 6 hours.
Simple to install. Simple to use.
Installation is simple. You can install the battery box and siren/strobe indoors or outdoors. The only requirement is that the siren/strobe is connected less than 500 feet from the battery box. Often times we see the siren/strobe mounted in a high location that is visible from multiple directions and the battery box is mounted inside of the office.
Get up and running, quicker.
Connecting the Battery Backup is a quick process with water tight cord grips already installed. Circuit board connections are clearly marked and can be done with a #1 flat head. Also, the Battery Backup has a universal power supply which means it will run on voltage between 85 and 264 VAC.
Step. Repeat.
The Battery Backup Siren Alarm is outfitted to not only receive alarm calls from a dry contact switch, but it is also wired to repeat an alarm call. Simply connect the your dry contact switch to the input terminals and connect an alarm dialer to the output terminals and its ready! Also, the Battery Backup Siren Alarm can also notify you when power has been lost for 10 minute.
It’s what’s on the inside that matters.
